I feel PlayStation is copying more the Nintendo Wii, and I am more impressed with the no controller Kinect. Interesting features to note for the Kinect are as follows. The Kinect uses a multi-array microphone meaning it cancels out ambient noise, uses acoustics, and is compatible with surround sound systems. It features infrared with a sensor to allow for different lighting in the room. A motor moves the Kinect to the optimal position to capture the people in front of it automatically. Speech recognition is a selling point and appears to work well, although we will have to wait to see if it impresses in actual video games.
