Playstation 4 has New Controller, Specs Revealed, Concept Consoles

Playstation 4 New Controller: Known as the Dual-Shock Hybrid, a PS Dual Shock combined with the PS Move technology. Patented by Sony.

The PS4's controller will again be capable of motion-sensing now with improved technology like tilt correction and refined vibration. Don't be surprised if you see some kind of capacitive touch pad controller to combat the Wii U.

Playstation 4 Specifications:

  • Video Memory: 2.2 GB
  • CPU: 8 Core, 4x Dual-Core AMD64 Bulldozer (microarchitecture)
  • GPU: AMD R10xx

  • Drive: Blu-Ray
  • Hard Drive: Variable, 160 GB+

Bulldozer is Advanced Micro Devices' (AMD) Central Processing Unit (CPU) codename for processors released on October 12, 2011 with family 15h microarchitecture.

Bulldozer is designed from scratch, not a development of earlier processors. The core is specifically aimed at 10-125 watt TDP computing products. AMD claims dramatic performance-per-watt efficiency improvements in high-performance computing (HPC) applications with Bulldozer cores.

Bulldozer is the first major redesign of AMD’s processor architecture since 2003, when the firm launched its K8 processors, and also features two 128-bit FMA-capable FPUs which can be combined into one 256-bit FPU.

Rumor is that the PS4 will make a showing at E3 in June 11-14, 2013. How exciting.
